Mackinac Island Carriage Tours, Inc., located on Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan, is the world’s largest, oldest and continually operated horse and buggy livery, with approximately 100 freight and passenger carriages put in motion by over 400 horses.

Mackinac Island, in Lake Huron between Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas, was the Country’s second national park and Michigan’s first state park. Today the Island remains over 82% state park and is one of the mid-west’s most popular summer vacation destinations. Automobiles have been banned on the Island for over 100 years. As a result, the horses of Carriage Tours are what keep the Island moving by providing all types of transportation including horse drawn drays for freight, trash pick-up, taxis, and tour carriages.
