Come live in the “Wilderness of Idaho”! We are a small, but growing, Hunting and Fishing Outfitter that also provides summer Guest Ranch Stays with activities such as weddings, family reunions, and group retreats. Located in the heart of the Frank Church Wilderness, along the Salmon River in Idaho, we are looking for a hard-working, adventurous and fun couple or individuals to assist with the myriad of tasks essential to operating a full-service lodge and outfitting operation. We are accessible by plane or boat only (transportation in and out are provided by employer). This is a full-time, seasonal position but could be permanent depending on the person. We work a lot, but also enjoy ample opportunity to “get out” into the adjacent wilderness and USFS lands to pursue all the activities those areas provide.

Position #1: Cooking/Housekeeping:
Ideal candidate will be an upbeat “People person” with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to work all day and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, etc. They must have solid experience and knowledge in meal preparation and food handling (commercial or large group experience is a bonus, but we are willing to train).

Responsibilities / Duties: Prepare quality, upscale yet simple meals for guests (not for staff); Welcome any visitors or guests that may come to lodge; landscaping and mowing, Assist in keeping lodge and kitchen clean; Clean cabins as needed; Serve meals. Other tasks as needed to promote the smooth operation and friendly atmosphere of the lodge.

Position #2: Maintenance (some horse experience optional)
Qualifications: Ideal Candidate must have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and organizational skills as well as the physical ability to work outside all day at physical tasks, regardless of weather. They will have at least a basic knowledge of a variety of maintenance / construction techniques (see list below), but we will train for specific duties / knowledge related to our off-grid operation. A working knowledge of the following is preferred: Electrical, carpentry, plumbing, vehicle maintenance and appliances. Also, candidate must be willing and able to assist with the daily upkeep, cleaning and care of the lodge such as upkeep up hunting dogs and stock, landscaping, hauling garbage, cutting firewood, trail clearing / maintenance, painting, etc.
Optional skills that would be a bonus: Experience with back country such as western trail riding; Horse packing; Food service / preparation.

Requirements of Employer:
• Valid Driver’s Licenses
• Background Check upon employment
• Must be exceptionally clean and be able to work without constant micromanaging.

Pay is DOE and will include all room & board plus utilities. Employees must provide their own food. Must be non-smokers. Drugs of any sort on-site are grounds for dismissal. No Pets, no exceptions to this rule.
