Zion Mountain Ranch
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced farmer to oversee this boutique farm that feeds our farm to table restaurant, Cordwood. The small farm includes chickens, orchards, 2 green houses, and 2 plots of garden land. The farm is part of a ranch style resort that borders Zion National Park, in Southern Utah. We welcome the guests of the ranch to wander through the gardens, taste a tomato off the vine, and pull a weed or two. Experience in organic methods of gardening is a must. Another specific method of gardening that experience would be preferred in is Aquaponics, since one of our greenhouses is set up with a functioning aquaponics system.
The farm manager would oversee a small, seasonal staff and would work directly and very closely with the Farm Chef. This is a salaried, full-time, year-round position, though the winter months will be much slower. The ranch maintains an illegal drug and alcohol abuse free environment. We offer complimentary housing or RV hook-ups.
Salary: $3,300/mo
