Three Bar Ranch
We are a family owned ranch with an operations manager and 2 employees. The ranch is just at 10,000 acres where we run 650 mother cows and put up dry land hay. We are looking for someone that isn’t afraid of long hours and 5.5-6 days a week most of the year, 7 days a week during calving and haying.
This isn’t a cowboy position but we do welcome up to 2 horses per employee. Cattle work is done mostly on ATV’s, UTV’s and some horseback.
There is a great deal of fencing, repairing equipment, general maintenance on all buildings and ranch equipment, as well. The ranch is dog friendly however there is little to NO working of cattle with dogs. It’s a case by case basis due to far to many unruly dogs.
Compensation is in the $1,700-$2,500 to start out, DOE. Housing is provided and is most suitable for a single person. It would be okay for a couple. There is ranch beef and paid vacation as part of the compensation as well as a cow ownership opportunity for the right candidate.
