Immediate opening: Ranch Hand Cow/Calf operation in Lincoln County, New Mexico
Looking for an honest, hard-working, reliable person with experience working on a cattle ranch who keeps his word and wants to settle down in the area and become part of the community.
Possibility for long-term future for the right person/people/family
Job description:
o Cattle management
o Cattle handling including gathering, sorting, branding, and some doctoring etc.
o Calving
o Feeding
o Ranch and range maintenance and management
o Maintain water
o Build and repair fence
o Operate heavy equipment
o Brush control
o Welding and fabrication
o General equipment operation and repair
o General mechanic operations
We use four-wheelers/ATVs to work cows nowadays. If you’re interested in bringing your horses to ride for pleasure, we are happy to work with you.
If lots of drinking, cussing, and/or drugs is your thing, it won’t be a good fit. We’re very friendly but not a real rowdy bunch.
