Landscaper / Horse Hand (urgent, looking to hire someone soon)
Full time, live out position, including some weekends/holidays.
The job duties include but are not limited to:
Landscaping:
Responsible for the care of landscaping and grounds. Planting flowers, mowing, pulling weeds, repairing structures.
Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers.
Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.
Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.
Sweep/blow walkway of debris.
Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping.
Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
Install rock, cement, lighting, water.
Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer.
Check and repair irrigation
Work under direction of the head groundskeeper
Horses/animals:
Feeding, handling, and grooming horses. On the job training is offered but experience with horses is required. All work relating to daily horse care – includes feeding, mucking, watering, turn in/out, maintain clean barn and surrounding area. It requires someone who loves horses in order to understand what is involved daily. Taking care of cats, dogs, chickens as needed. Must have common sense, must be reliable, must be able to work with others, non-smoker, English/Spanish speaking.
Compensation: $15 per hour with benefits, 2 weeks paid vacation.
