Flying Flower Ranch
The position is a live in position only. There is a nice but small apartment at the end of the indoor arena where the caretaker would live. The duties are going to be fluid, but there is down time if you manage the property well. The main duty is irrigation management. Making sure fields get water and monitoring water right levels at the same time. Monitoring the property to make sure there are no pipe breaks or other hazards or security issues are also part of the job. Making sure those issues are promptly taken care of when they come up. There is also some horse / barn /arena related duties as well. As the business develops new duties will be added. A dog/cat or other small indoor pet is ok, no personal livestock or horses at this time.
There is a personal assistant side to this position. Running to town on errands, sometimes picking me up from the airport. Filling cars, gator, 4 wheeler up with gas, etc.
There are peak busy periods in this job: beginning of spring when irrigation gets set up and again in the late fall when irrigation is winterized and taken down. Other than those times, when things are running smoothly, there are down times where another small side job, or hobby can be enjoyed. Winter is all about looking for pipe breakages and making sure the property is secure, bringing mail / boxes in etc. LOTS of down time in the winter.
I am looking for a problem solver, go getter, someone who will have pride in my property when I am not here. I also have two mini horses that will stay on the property who will need daily care.
I am looking for someone who can give me at least 1 year commitment.
