Full-time Ranch Hand needed on a working cattle ranch outside Missoula, Montana. Ranch hand needed to perform a wide variety of duties on 4,500 acre ranch with 600-800 head of Grass-fed Red Angus. Ranch also houses a Wagyu breeding program. Duties will vary depending on the season but will include: rotating stock through pastures, restocking mineral supplements, delivering feed to various groups of cattle, repair and maintain equipment, fences and buildings, haying duties, repair and maintain ditches, head gates and irrigation pipes, electric pumps and wheel lines, must have fire prevention and readiness in mind at all times.
Ranch Hand must be able to safely operate farm equipment from chippers to tractors. Provide preventative maintenance; providing basic repairs and upkeep of all farm equipment. Maintain numerous motorized equipment and all terrain vehicles, keeping them clean and ready for use at all times.
Looking for a self-starter who takes direction well and is pro-active. Must be in excellent physical condition for this labor intensive work. Must enjoy working and living on a ranch and be accustomed to the lifestyle and demands of living on a working ranch. Must have excellent communication ability and the ability to work well in a team environment.
