About Us:
Rocky Creek Ranch [RCR] is a 524 acre equestrian estate, featuring hay fields, trails, pasture, outbuildings and historical landmarks. RCR is home to a mission-focused nonprofit organization providing nature-based and animal-assisted therapy services for adults and children. A beautiful, peaceful and dynamic environment, Rocky Creek Ranch is a nature-rich sanctuary, dedicated to conducting all areas of business in a sustainable and impactful way while prioritizing human, equine and animal welfare.
The Position:
We are looking for Ranch Care Specialists – full-time, 40 hours per week. While in this role, you would care for the farm in all aspects – from flora to fauna – and everything in between. It is a landscape-lovers paradise, and a zen-like agricultural wonderland. We have horses, donkeys, goats and birds – all with individual personalities who are definitely “part of the team” as well. We have fun at work, and we work hard so we can have fun. If the thought of seeing freshly mowed stripes on the lawn excites you, this is a role you should apply for! Regular performance reviews, a dedication to open communication and paid time off, even in your first year. This position is paid hourly, with a starting rate of $10/hour. Potential for increase after 90-day probationary period, dependent on experience and positive review.

We are located in Statesville, North Carolina – a small city located in Iredell County – 50 minutes from Charlotte, 40 minutes from Winston-Salem and 90 minutes from Asheville. Twice named an “All American City”, Statesville is home to the nationally-known Carolina BalloonFest, and numerous attractions and activities including Historic Downtown Statesville, Lake Norman, NASCAR, Fort Dobbs, Love Valley, Zootastic Park, golf, outlet shopping, unique local cuisine, museums and even gem mining. This area is rapidly growing as a destination for vineyards, micro-brews and craft spirits, and boasts over 40 wineries less than an hour from the farm. A nice blend of the country and the city, Statesville has many qualities that are quintessential Carolinian. Our farm is easy access of I-77, I-40 and Rte 115.
