Twodot Land & Livestock (TDLL) is a 5th generation, working cattle ranch 10 miles south of Harlowton, Montana. The ranch is 12,000 acres and we run around 600 cow/calf pairs year round and 300 yearlings/2yo’s that we finish for local and national grass fed beef companies. We implement Holistic Management to create resiliency in our triple bottom line; managing for financial, social, and ecological well being.

Twodot Land & Livestock (TDLL) is seeking a seasonal Ranch Hand from April to December, with possible opportunities for year round employment. The Ranch Hand would work directly with a team of two managers, and receive hands-on experience with a holistically managed cow-calf and grass finishing operation, including Holistic Planned Grazing, low-stress livestock handling, herding, and biological monitoring. Responsibilities would include: fencing (temp electric, building permanent electric, fixing existing fences), moving cattle every 1-3 days through intensive rotational grazing system, monitoring cattle health and pasture doctoring, monitoring grass/range health, ditch/tarp irrigating, maintenance of ATV’s and truck, sorting and selecting fats for harvest. While the ideal candidate would have on the ground experience in all these things, we primarily value good energy, open-mindedness and work ethic.

Housing on the ranch and utilities are provided. Ranch Hands are responsible for their own food and transportation. Please let us know if you have any questions and thanks for your interest!
