4 Leaf Ranch
Looking for animal savvy individuals to work on and around a 40 acre goat ranch (there’s and additional 40 acres bordering the property we graze on too. We specialize in weed control/fire breaks along with meat sales. Right now we are down to 500 goats and 140 hair sheep.
We also raise calves, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, and rabbits. Pyrenees, Border collies and hounds on the ranch also.
We are offering year round and seasonal positions.
Individuals must be Self Starters, Hard Worker, Reliable and Honest. We are a 24/7/365 day ranch. We do have projects that we put ranch hands out on range with the goats anywhere from 1 acre to several thousands of acres. We kid out twice a year, move are animals around several times a year to different contracts. We work are goats several times a year tagging, vaccinating, worming etc. We do a lot of work off horses (if you say you can ride and saddle a horse please be able to, if not I will teach you), current drivers license a plus but not required. Will be hauling trailers full of goats to jobs and market.
Will be required to do fence work, hay and feed animals and other miscellaneous jobs around the ranch. We have a fodder machine that produces 1,500lbs of feed a day will be trained to run and up keep that.
We have yearly contracts that will require the individuals to be out the length of time working the contracts with the goats. 24 hours a day
We start our hands out hands that have minimal experience out at $800-$1,000 a month plus room/board and grocery’s. Hands with experience I am willing to negotiate hire wages with proof of experience and great professional references. We give raises and bonus’s on performance and productivity.
Couples are welcome if everyone pulls their weight. We have employed couples in the past.
