Seeking experienced ranch manager/working couple to oversee 2000+ acre ranch in Central California.
Property is primarily a lifestyle ranch being developed as a boutique-scale organic and sustainable heirloom farm and heritage livestock operation. Successful candidate must possess excellent management skills. Serving as a hands-on general manager, the ranch manager reports directly to the owners and has the ability to work well alone and with others to accomplish all work. We are looking for a conscientious, organized and detail-oriented self-starter with a strong work ethic who shares our commitment to the stewardship of the land while appreciating the service needs and the challenges of a rural property.
Responsibilities include management, administration, operations and maintenance, renovation and construction, and hospitality.
Must have valid driver’s license, working knowledge of farming and ranching, ability to operate farm vehicles and equipment, and to pass a background check. Spanish language, gardening/landscaping, and bookkeeping/accounting skills are a plus. Staff housing provided; salary based on experience.
