Family farm seeks help with basic farm work, such as mucking out sheds, sweeping grain bins, fixing fences (mostly barbed wire), painting sheds, and helping as needed with cattle and grain production. Please note: this is not a guest or “dude” ranch and this is *not* a management position. Housing on site is possible with good references, but you will be responsible for your own housekeeping and meals.
This is an entry level job, but some form of farm or ranch experience is very strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be willing to cheerfully perform grubby tasks and will pitch in wherever needed, and MUST be able to live and work in a remote and isolated location, take direction well, and work alone or with others. Please note: the farm’s location is miles away from neighbors and towns and is very quiet and remote. Sometimes you may be working with one other person, but other times you will be living and working by yourself.
If you have your own horse, we’ll be happy to discuss your bringing it along.
Could consider summer/seasonal work, or year-round.
