Private ranch in Western Montana is seeking a motivated self starting dog trainer/handler for a full time/year round position to join our existing trainer/handler to work in our 20 dog program.
Experience with hunting dog training and handling, dog health and care, bird care and handling are an absolute necessity !
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Training spaniels and pointers for upland hunts at the ranch and training labradors for waterfowl hunting at off site duck club.
- Hosting top quality hunts for the owner and his guests on a private shooting preserve.
- Daily care of dogs and birds.
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of kennel and aviary.
- Participate in farming of habitat areas as needed.
- Service and maintain all hunting and recreational equipment.
- Help out with miscellaneous ranch projects.
Qualifications:
- Honest, highly motivated self starter.
- Possess valid drivers license, be able to pass background check and drug test.
- Knowledge in use of tractors and other equipment is an asset.
Salary: $45k – $65k depending on experience, full benefit package. relocation reimbursement allowance available. Housing and company vehicle provided.
