
Rushmore Trail Rides
(June-Sept)
We are looking for someone 18 years or older who can work from early May thru September. Will work with horses—grooming, tacking, feeding, doctoring—all aspects. Will be guiding trail rides & working with the general public.
First Aid & CPR Certification is plus. Will be required to work clearing riding trails, so must be capable of operating a chain saw and have experience working in forested mountain terrain and possess knowledge of map reading. Must be able to work alone without direct supervision.
Will Perform all aspects of duties associated with ranch work-including building & repairing fences, operating & maintaining some equipment, standard transmission pick-up & horse trailer, JD Tractor, handling hay, spraying noxious weeds, installing & maintaining electric fences etc.
Will work 5 to 6 days per week, sometimes long & varied hours, normally 8 ½ hours per day. Will be responsible for handling financial transactions. Also needs to be a self –starter, motivated, & interested in the work required. We are looking for someone with an honest character and moral values.
This person will be required to practice safety procedures in all aspects of the job. And present a clean-cut appearance. Be willing to listen and concerned about cutting costs and making a profit for the owners.
