I am looking for the right individual to work on my deer hunting/breeding ranch in Freer, Texas. It is hot in South Texas in the summer! The more experienced you are in ranch work, the better. If you do not have experience in ranch work this job is not for you.
Skills needed and job description
- Knowledge of ranch life is very important
- Welding, as well as experience with tractors, backhoes, etc.
- Knowing how to repair whatever needs fixing
- Mowing, weed-eating, cutting wood, brush
- I require a variety of skills that pertain to deer breeding/hunting, such as feeding and watering pen and pasture deer
- Checking on water troughs daily for pen/pasture deer
- Fence repair
- Checking on pen deer as often as requested
- Will help move, dart, vaccinate, chip and tag fawns/mature deer during darting season
- This job is hard work. If you don’t want to be told what to do, or work hard, please don’t apply,
- Job may require some guiding during hunting season if needed.
- Communication, honest and dependability are a must
Compensation and amenities
- $500.00 per week to start
- Week paid vacation after one year
- Housing with paid electric, water and cable
- 8 miles from Freer, Texas
