Full time ranch manager position available on an exotic hunting ranch in Childress County, Texas.
The candidate for the position:
- Must be able to follow directions and take instruction.
- Must be comfortable operating and maintaining equipment.
- Must have livestock/animal/exotic experience.
- Must pass background check and drug test as well as provide references. This position is not for you if you smoke.
- Must be able to tolerate Texas heat and many different weather conditions.
- Must have a passion for ranch life and animals, as well as have a positive attitude.
- Must have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, physical endurance and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities on the ranch include, but are not limited to:
- Taking care of animals both in the pasture and in enclosures.
- Keeping the farm equipment, machinery and vehicles in good condition.
- Maintaining the high fence and cattle fencing.
- Communicating effectively with the ranch owner as well as clients and other employees.
- Manage/guide hunts and hunters.
- Daily feeding and watering.
- General ranch work/ handyman work.
Pay is based upon experience. Housing voucher included.
