New Masters Village
1-Month Ranch Hand & Property Laborer – Arts Retreat in Mancos, CO
Location: New Masters Village – Mancos, Colorado
Duration: 1 Month (ASAP – August 15)
Compensation: $800/week + Free Lodging (Private room in Cabin)
We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working ranch hand or general laborer to join us immediately for a one-month contract to help prepare our 60-acre property for launch.
This is a unique arts & nature village, formerly Willowtail Springs, now being reimagined as a cultural retreat. You’ll work alongside a small dedicated team to support infrastructure, grounds, and horses.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic construction (railings, fencing, trail clearing)
- Support carpentry projects (deck repairs, gate install)
- Help manage horses (feeding, tack assist, pasture setup)
- Move and assemble beds and furnishings
- General cleanup, hauling, and prep for guest-ready spaces
Skills & Requirements:
- Ranch, construction, or property maintenance experience
- Horse comfort a plus (some support may include grooming or catching)
- Must be dependable, physically fit, and willing to work outside
- Able to work independently and stay on task
- Must have own transportation to Mancos, CO
Compensation:
- $800/week ($3,200 total)
- Free private lodging in a rustic cabin
- Work schedule: ~40 hrs/week, flexibility as needed
- Meals not included, but shared kitchen access available
- Bonus if you can stay through our big event in early August
