Ranch Hand / Cowboy needed
Location: Mustang Ranch, Louise, Wharton County, TX
Compensation: $10–$15/hour
Type: Part-time (20hours/week)
Job Summary:
We are looking for someone who wants to live the rancher lifestyle while helping us care for our 58-acre ranch in Louise, TX. No experience is required – just a willingness to learn, a good attitude, and comfort working outdoors with animals and tools.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Helping care for cattle, horses, sheep, and poultry
- Checking and repairing fences and gates
- Basic handyman work around the ranch
- Lawn care, brush clearing, and property upkeep
- Using mowers, UTVs, and basic power tools
- Watering livestock and feeding as needed
- Supporting daily ranch operations with whatever comes up
Required Qualifications
- Live around the area
- Life experience with livestock or general ranch work
- Proficiency with ranch equipment (tractor, ATV, tools)
- Basic mechanical or handyman skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Self-motivated and capable of independent work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with horse training or riding
- Familiarity with Texas wildlife and rural property management
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Schedule
- Part-time with flexibility for early mornings and occasional weekends
- On-call availability for emergencies on a rotating basis
