The Stables at Palmer Gulch has been operating in the Black Hills for 25 years. Renowned for its award winning Trail Rides and Authentic Chuck Wagon Supper Show experiences.
Seeking wrangler to guide trail rides and tend to herd of 100 horses in the mountains of western South Dakota. Beautiful landscape, fabulous horses, great guests. Guys or girls considered (crew is mostly young adult ages 18-26), staff bunk house is provided.
Hourly wage and plus cash tips on rides.
Guide 2-4 trail rides per day through Black Hills national forest and Norbeck Wildlife Preserve. We are located just a few miles from Mount Rushmore.
Season runs until August 31st but will consider applicants leaving earlier for school.
We will train the trail guide portion, must be confident in riding and basic horsemanship skills.
This is a fast paced environment. wranglers must be go-getters, good with people, and not afraid to get dirty.
Wranglers work 8 hour shifts with plenty of opportunities to work full days (12 hours)
We are in peak season currently, only 5 weeks left of the summer. Wanting someone who can jump in and be ready to work and learn.
