Ranch Hand / Animal Caretaker needed in Franklin, Tennessee ~ Housing option available

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Animal Caretaker/Ranch Hand to join our small ranch. This role involves hands-on care for horses, donkeys, chickens, dogs, and potentially others, as well as general maintenance to keep our property in top shape. If you’re passionate about animals and thrive in a dynamic outdoor setting, we’d love to hear from you. This position is full-time (Monday-Friday) and occasional weekends. **On-site live-in option available**

Duties

• Provide daily care, including feeding, grooming, and exercising the animals
• Clean and maintain animal living spaces to ensure a safe and healthy environment
• Perform general upkeep and maintenance tasks around the ranch, such as fence repairs, equipment upkeep, etc.
• Run errands to support ranch operations

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic, trustworthiness, and reliability
• Proven experience working with horses and a genuine care for animals
• Knowledge of general handyman work; experience with farm equipment or agriculture is a plus
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (e.g., heat, cold, rain)
• Physical capability to lift heavy loads (e.g., feed bags, equipment) regularly
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Willingness to undergo a background check
