Southwest Texas ranch seeks a farmer with 5+ years’ experience in alfalfa production, to include several years’ operation of center pivot irrigation systems.
Duties:
• Manage full cycle of alfalfa production, including planting, irrigation, pest and disease management, fertilization, cutting, and baling
• Oversee operation and maintenance of irrigation system, farm vehicles and equipment
• Communicate effectively regarding all phases of alfalfa operation
• Identify customers; manage hay sales and delivery
