Seeking all-around full-time ranch employee to work with hands on owner/operator in long established family ranch business located in the scenic Wallowa Valley of NE OR.
300 Registered Angus Cows. Extensive A.I. program. Very nice processing facility.
500 acres irrigation with Wheel Lines, Pivot, & some Flood. Lots of electric fence & intensive cell grazing. Reworking old pastures under new irrigation system installed in 2017.
Haying & Feeding with quality John Deere net wrap round bales. New heated shop. Some cattle experience required. Not a buckaroo position & do not need a general manager.
Lots of potential to progress with the ranch. Looking for someone to be a part of our success. Reliable, Hard-working & “Get it Done” attitude appreciated.
Competitive wages. No house available on the ranch but just 3 miles to quality small town.
Key functions: Cattle handling in pens & alleys on foot, pasture moves with dogs & ATV’s, feeding with tractors & round bales, calving, tagging, sorting pairs, electric & conventional fencing, irrigation, some tractor work, haying, & general maintenance.
Years of Experience preferred: 2 years in Cattle
