Overseeing the animal health and management of approximately 4,500 head of stocker cattle. Emphasis in on starting new calves for the 1st 45 days of receiving period by using grass traps – not a feedlot setting.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in managing cattle with emphasis in stocker health management
- Record keeping of health treatments and inventory
- Passion for cattle and grazing
- Calm demeanor with cattle and people
- Clean and organized
- Responsible and self-managed is a must
- Exemplifies good attitude and work ethic with livestock and people
- Enjoys working is fast paced environment
Salary/Benefits:
- $70,000 – $75,000 Gross compensation package that includes housing (depending on experience)
- 1 week paid vacation per year with increase after 2 years
- Continuing Education
