Sweetbeau Horses
Sweetbeau Horses is a year-round training ranch and 501c3 non-profit dedicated to providing a state-of-the-art, world class training experience to mustangs being rounded up or held by BLM. Our training program brings in small loads of wild mustangs at a time to gentle and train with positive reinforcement techniques for 12-24 months. Horses are finished as all-around mounts and placed with an approved adopter.
Sweetbeau also hosts events such as PTSD therapy gentling clinics, training clinics, and specialized Mustang Experience events.
Positions available:
-ASSISTANT TRAINER
Assistant trainer is responsible for assisting and enabling head trainer with horses to complete training for each horse every day. Trainer must follow the Sweetbeau training program taught by head trainer.
Duties can include but are not limited to:
- Warming up/cooling down horses on ground or in saddle
- Groundwork
- Solidifying proper riding skills in young, green or finished horses
- Off-ranch riding (trails, competitions, etc)
- General ranch work when necessary
Qualifications:
- 4+ years riding experience
- Horse training experience required; mustang experience preferred
- Must be able bodied, self-starting, and adept at taking direction
Hours & Compensation:
– Part-time
– Independent contractor
– Pay negotiable based on abilities

-FEEDER/CLEANER/RANCH HAND
Feeder/cleaner is responsible for ensuring horses are fed on time and the ranch and barn is free of manure and other messes.
Duties can include but are not limited to:
- Breakfast/dinner fed
- Daily mucking of stalls/pastures/arenas
- Feeders/Waters cleaned
- Barn/ranch upkeep (sweeping, leaf blowing, pickup, laundry, bathroom, weeding, raking, etc.)
Qualifications:
- 2+ years equine, livestock, or ranch experience
- Must be able bodied, self-starting, and adept at working as part of a team
Hours & Compensation:
Part-time independent contractor
Pay negotiable based on abilities
Housing not included
