Central Texas Ranch (North of Austin) is seeking an Assistant Ranch Manager for our 800-acre ranch.
This position is a full-time position. Health insurance is provided (after 30 days). Truck/UTV provided for ranch business. Housing is provided on the ranch. Wildlife Degree or Agriculture Degree preferred.
Starting Salary is $36,000/year and there are opportunities to advance & earn more.
Weekend work is required during hunting season and when guest/family are present on property throughout the year.
Ranch Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Assist in Keeping ranch operations running smoothly.
- Maintain Fences & water gaps.
- Deer Hunting Guiding and managing lease hunters. Assist in Maintaining MLD status. Maintain Feeders & protein program. Predator control. Keep blinds maintained. Camera & spotlight Surveys.
- Assist in Managing & guiding our private upland bird hunting operation.
- Operate & Maintain Ranch Trucks & Machinery-Must be mechanically inclined. Brush control, road grading.
- Care for Ranch Bird Dogs
- Establish programs for Weed control/Brush Control/Cactus control
- Manage Ranch Road Maintenance & gate systems
- Help Maintain Lodge, Barn, Swimming Pool.
- Cattle experience/knowledge would be a plus for future projects
