Assistant Ranch Management Opportunity
Johnston Cattle Company is looking for and Assistant Ranch Manager to become part of our team. We are a well-established Ranch that has been have been raising cattle in Alabama for over 100 years. We are looking for a self-starter that works well with others, as well as by himself. We prefer at least 2 years experience and someone who enjoy’s working with cattle. Responsibilities include:
- Commercial and/or Registered herd data collection – tagging calves
- Animal Husbandry – Working cattle in catch pens, medicine application, branding, assisting vet in pregnancy checking and other health related issues. etc.
- Facility Management – Weed control, hay production, planting, fence and building maintenance.
- Equipment Operations and Maintenance
Competitive compensation, as well as, health benefits can be offered.
Salary: $50K +/-, Medical insurance, possible housing, paid vacation.
