Giddens Ranch
Giddens Ranch, located just north of Austin, Texas, is searching for an Assistant Ranch Manager. This year-round position will assist in managing all day to day operations of the ranch. This position will focus on dog care, dog conditioning & on-going training of our bird dogs. This position will also guide quail hunts (as well as deer hunts) for our family & guest. This role will require the ability to interact with our guest while maintaining high standards of the hunting experience and safety of all parties. This position will also be involved in the hospitality aspect of our hunting operation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, or more, and work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
- Strong independent work ethic with the ability to take initiative while working with, and taking direction, from the Ranch Manager.
- Must pass drug screening and background check and be authorized to work in U.S
- Valid Drivers License and personal transportation required (ranch vehicles provided for work operations)
- 4-year College degree preferred.
- Prior experience with hunting operation/dog training/guiding.
- Experience operating mower/skid steer/farm tractor/sprayers, etc
Health Insurance is included & Housing will be furnished.
Salary: $42,000 to $46,000/year (depending on experience) plus share of guided hunt income & tips
