High-end Dressage Farm looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our team full-time. We are looking for someone who can take responsibility for the day-to-day care of the horses and farm and who sees what needs to be done without needing to be constantly directed.
Responsibilities include:
- Feeding, haying, watering and turnout twice daily
- Preparing feed
- Grooming, tacking and washing horses
- Cleaning and maintaining tack
- Basic medical care as needed
- Assisting with vet and farrier appointments
- Daily arena and round pen maintenance
- Cleaning and maintaining the barn
- Cleaning troughs and managing outside waters
- Mowing and weed-whacking
- Basic fence and farm repairs
- Ordering/organizing hay and feed
- Helping coordinate vet appointments
- Handling basic farm problems as they arise
Horse grooming/tacking hours are approximately 7:30 AM–1:00 PM, Monday–Friday, in addition to AM/PM horse-care responsibilities.
This is a hands-on position with significant responsibility. We need a team member that is dependable, observant, detail oriented, organized and capable of working independently. Horse/farm experience strongly preferred.
