We need a dependable and highly motivated individual who has years of experience caring for and training horses. We are a privately owned and operated facility in Southwest Idaho. Fun work environment, and competitive pay dependent on experience and skillset. Our ideal candidate would be patient and want to share their love of horses with others, and have experience building and sourcing family friendly horses. Experience or desire to learn team driving.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Caring for the needs of up to 10 horses
  • Training horses (not starting colts or problem horses, just polishing already great horses)
  • Horse first-aid
  • Wrapping legs
  • Rehab care
  • Grooming & Body Clipping
  • Managing feeding
  • Administering supplements and oral medications
  • Maintain outdoor arena (dragging and watering)
  • Cleaning stalls
  • Being present with farrier and manage dates and time
  • Monitor health and ensure routine vaccinations and worming
  • Trailer horses to local vet
  • Drive team(s) to keep fresh
  • Maintain wagons and harnesses
  • Maintain and keep all tack in good working order
  • Lessons for family members

Applicants must:

  • have a driver's license
  • have reliable transportation
  • be able to work occasional weekends
  • be over the age of 21
  • be drug free and pass pre-employment drug test
  • pass background check

Salaried Position

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Equine: 3-5 years training (driving teams or willingness to learn to drive is essential)
