The Flying Cloud Ranch
Looking for a couple to be the full-time caretakers of a privately-owned ranch in Wise River, Montana. The Flying Cloud Ranch is 160 acres, completely surrounded by National Forest, and bordered by the Wise River with a stream going through the middle.
The operation of the property is two-fold: Regular ranch operations and guest ranch duties.
Regular ranch operations duties include:
- Ranch Security and oversight
- Buildings and equipment maintenance
- Tractors, backhoe, and haying equipment maintenance
- Spring cabin openings and winterizing in the fall
- General log cabin maintenance and upkeep
- Irrigating hay fields and haying the first week of August. (once a year)
- Maintaining jack and lodge-pole fencing around property
- Winter feeding of approximately 8 horses twice a day
- Assist with ranch improvement projects
Guest Ranch Duties include:
- Spring deep cleaning of cabins,
- Represent the Ranch brand, and handle guest relations
- Guest check-in and check-out
- Cleaning cabins after check-out
- Grounds and lawn maintenance around cabins
