Glenmary Family Farm Partnership is seeking a hardworking, motivated individual to join our Cow Crew.
Beef Cattle experience is 100% required- no exceptions. Knowledge of animal health, nutrition and breeding is required- no exceptions.
We run a highly-diversified farming operation including commercial cow/calf, stocker, feedlot and purebred Angus cattle; along with row crops and poultry.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: daily care of cow/calf, stocker, feedlot and purebred Angus cattle; herd health; record keeping utilizing iPad apps and computer programs, including but not limited to Cattlemax and Performance Beef; equipment and fence maintenance, hay/straw making and pasture management.
Applicants must have the ability to follow instructions, think clearly for themselves, have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Applicants must be trained and comfortable with checking heats and artificially inseminating cattle. Applicants must also be willing to be trained on how to ultrasound cattle for pregnancy checking within our operation.
Clean driving record and high school diploma required. Applicants with a college degree in animal science are highly preferred.
