$50K + housing and health benefits
This is a full time role for a driven, action oriented, and responsive cattle manager. This person will oversee and actively manage a herd of 500+ on 700+ irrigated acres.
Must have minimum 5 years experience in managing labor, calving, feeding and herd health. Experience with AI programs is preferred.
Ongoing responsibilities, include but not limited to:
- Herd breeding, genetics, health records record keeping
- Health maintenance of the herd, assisting vet as needed
- Daily rotations
- Pasture maintenance, winter feed plan preparation
- Identifying maintenance needs related to fencing, watering systems, farm buildings and equipment
- Manage transport of cattle to processors, transport of purchased cattle
- Grounds maintenance
- Assist ranch manager as needed
