Cattle ranch seeking individual to work full time in all aspects of large Cow Calf- Yearling and grow yard operation. Honest, energetic, self motivated, trustworthy, hardworking individual.
The applicant will need to be knowledgeable and experienced in livestock management and animal husbandry skills. Two year or four year Animal Science degree beneficial. Must be a self-starter who can work alone or with others and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Tasks include moving cattle on horseback or ATV’s, salting, fencing, corral maintenance, feeding in winter months outside cattle or in a grow yard. Horseback riding experience is a must.
Experience with gathering and moving cattle very important. Some record keeping. CDL license helpful.
You must be in good physical shape, this is a large ranch and horseback riding and ATV use is an everyday occurrence.
The individual will also need to be well versed in general ranch maintenance skills. Starting salary is commensurate with experience.
