Bieber Red Angus Ranch
Bieber Red Angus Ranch is a family-owned seedstock operation with roots in registered Red Angus cattle out of north central South Dakota. Listed as number 38 on the Seedstock 100, our experience in the beef cattle industry goes back over 50 years. Today, we calve over 900 registered Red Angus, and wean additional ET calves. Each year, we market and sell more than 500 bulls and 400 females in multiple onsite and online auctions. Our ranch staff works as a tight-knit team that is dedicated to helping us produce profitable cattle, in a commercially oriented system.
This is a full-time position with a very competitive compensation package. We are looking for a disciplined self-starter, with experience in caring for livestock and ranch work.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Herd health, including treating cattle, tracking vaccine inventory, and communicating areas of concern with the team and our veterinarian.
- Calving both heifers and cows out of our January-March calving herd and our May-June calving herd.
- Breeding, including implementing AI protocols and monitoring natural service sires.
- Cattle handling, including sorting, moving, and working cattle with UTV and on horseback.
- Cattle nutrition, including feeding in a feedlot setting during winter months and pasture management during summer months.
- Other general ranch duties, including welding, driving truck and other machinery, machinery and ranch maintenance, and fencing.
