Sunny Meadows is seeking a dependable, hardworking Ranch Hand to join our cattle operation in Nemaha County.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in livestock care, ranch maintenance, and working outdoors in changing weather conditions. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Feed, water, and monitor cattle health
• Assist with gathering, sorting, moving, and processing livestock
• Maintain fences, gates, water systems, pens, and ranch equipment
• Operate and perform basic upkeep on tractors, pickups, ATVs, and other ranch machinery
• Help with calving, branding, vaccinations, haying, and other seasonal work
• Keep work areas, barns, and equipment clean and safe

Qualifications

• Previous cattle or ranch experience must have
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
• Experience operating equipment, welding, fencing,
• Dependable, honest, safety-minded, and respectful of animals and property

This is a working ranch environment, so meal breaks may be irregular and depend on the daily operations must be willing to work occasional long days and irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and as livestock and seasonal needs required.

Must be able to take direction professionally from whoever is responsible for the work at hand, regardless of gender.

You’ll be working alongside a spirited, old-school rancher with a strong work ethic – so bring a good attitude, stamina, and a willingness to keep moving.
