Highgrove Farm
Highgrove Farm, on Morrow Road in Violet North Carolina is a place of stunning natural beauty with 2 miles of frontage along lake Appalachia, rolling hills, and mountain views. Highgrove is embarking on the conversion of 500 acres of former farmland into a working silvopasture cattle and sheep ranch, with plans for an organic orchard and vegetable farm. A collection of cottages and homes for guests to come and experience the farm and lake life are to be built.
Many projects need to be executed to bring this vision to reality. To lead that effort, Highgrove is hiring a Construction and Property Manager. The ideal person will have 5 years+ experience in residential or commercial construction management. Experience in heavy equipment operation, road building, farm operations, land clearing will be helpful but not required. This position will involve demanding physical labor in day to-day operations, in addition to the responsibility of scheduling and overseeing subcontractors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement construction blueprints to build 3-5 buildings onsite simultaneously.
- Ordering materials, managing a budget and keeping project management software updated daily.
- Manage Installation of infrastructure such as underground power, water systems, gates,roads, and fencing
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment
The ideal Construction and Property Manager for Highgrove will be self-motivated, able to see the big picture, while breaking down and executing on the small tasks necessary to achieve the big goals. Excellent communication and organizational skills will be important in order to provide regular updates to the property owner and track progress.
This is a full-time position with onsite housing once established. The location is remote, therefore self-sufficiency and proper advance planning are critical. There is excellent future growth potential as the farm matures. Compensation may exceed $90,000 annually and will include a base salary of $45,000 to $55,000 with a significant bonus structure setup for completion of each major project.
