Amistad Ranch
Pointer/Retriever Trainer needed at family hunting ranch in central Florida. Must have at least five years of experience training Pointers to a high level for wild and early released Quail.
The position has a nice three-bedroom home with its own kennels set in a large garden with a paddock.
The Main Kennel block, which is modern and has high levels of cleanliness, has daily staff to oversee cleaning, exercising, vet/med, etc., of 20-plus dogs currently in various stages of training/retirement. These are mainly English pointers along with some very high-quality Labradors and English Cockers. Having your own well-trained dogs would be welcome and a bonus.
All equipment is supplied and is of a high standard. This is a busy job during the hunting season (Four days (Three Hours) hunting per week), November – April, but is well rewarded for someone willing to work and capable of training dogs to a high standard.
Amistad is a safe, friendly shoot for guests and the family of the owners.
The ranch is willing to accommodate someone willing to take dogs north for training during the Florida summer months if required.
