Private ranch in Western Montana is seeking a dog trainer for a full-time, year round position to manage a 20 dog training program, care for birds and habitat and host top quality hunts for the owner and his guests.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Training pointers and spaniels for upland hunts at the ranch and training labradors for waterfowl hunting for off site duck club
- Host top quality hunts for the owner and his guests.
- Daily care of dogs and birds.
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of kennel and aviary.
- Participate in farming of habitat areas as needed.
- Service and maintain all hunting and recreational equipment.
- Coordinate with ranch manager.
- Help out with miscellaneous ranch projects.
Qualified couple will be given serious consideration.
Qualifications:
- Honest, highly motivated self starter.
- Valid drivers license.
- Must be able to pass background check.
- Experience with dog training, dog health and injury care, bird care and handling necessary.
- Knowledge in use of tractor and other ranch equipment is an asset.
- Some training will be provided.
Salary: $40k to $65k depending on experience. Full benefits package. Relocation allowance available. Additional salary for second employee if qualified. Housing and company vehicle provided.
