4L Grazing is a professional land and livestock management business that currently stewards 7,100 acres of remnant Tallgrass Prairie in the Kansas Flint Hills. We are avid students of regenerative land practices with the objective of building resilience through enabling healthy function of the ecosystem processes. Our goal is to enhance our ecological and economical stance through developing a diverse, multi- enterprise business model that joins regenerative land practices with economic viability. We strive to do this while providing a rich and fulfilling lifestyle for all those working with us.

4L Grazing currently has openings for two dynamic forward-thinking individuals, or a couple, that want to become a lasting part of our team. Both positions require a person that is comfortable with change and learning new ideas, techniques and systems. A willingness to openly communicate with their coworkers, clients and the surrounding community is an essential quality. All new team members start off in this entry level herdsman position and are encouraged to grow into areas of the business that best fits their skills, ambitions and the business’s needs.

Responsibilities will include caring for livestock and the landscape they rely on. Basic livestock handling skills and mechanical understanding are required. The base salary is $2,500/month and can adjust up based on experience.

Additional benefits include housing, utilities, workman’s comp, and performance-based compensation beyond the guaranteed salary.
