We are a privately-owned horse facility looking for a full time, live-in, responsible, hardworking, knowledgeable person to be Equine caregiver for our friendly family historical farm in Camp Verde Arizona. We offer Room & Board either in our bunk house or a RV hookup for your living quarters or RV.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Feeding horses 2 times a day with hay, supplements, hay bags and hay for our pasture horses
  • Cleaning re-bedding stalls and turnouts as needed
  • Turning horses out in private or group pastures, basic care fly spray, fly masks
  • Basic care to ensure healthy horses from worming, checking feet for farrier, slipped shoes, lameness, losing weight, too much weight
  • Winter Blanketing – Fly Sheets in summer if needed
  • Tractor – is used to help with cleaning of the stalls, putting manure into manure spreader
  • Basic care of farm vehicles checking fluids, tire pressures to ensure proper operation report all service needs to manager
  • Organized, Self-motivated, enjoy caring for horses

Requirements:

  • Previous Ranch & Horse Care Experience REQUIRED
  • 21 Years of age
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • No smoking or drinking allowed in barn or during work hours

Salary: $2,000 monthly plus apartment provided for onsite position.
