
Buster Ranch
Schedule: Full-Time, 5.5 days a week
You will get one day off every week, typically Sunday or Monday. Especially during inclement weather, your day off will have to fluctuate around the weather. Most of the year, you will have a regularly scheduled, consistent same day off. Most of your daily work will be placing ads, editing websites, posting on social media platforms, and independently editing and managing media. On a flexible schedule around the weather, lighting, and other appointments – you will be scheduled to shoot sale pictures and videos with our riders and interns.
Income:
Starting pay $500 – $1,500 per week, based on past experience and quality of the work you can currently produce. This position can also be part-time, and be paid by the horse, by the set of pictures / per sales video.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Media Professional to create high-quality marketing videos, and photos, high quality shorts, full sale videos, conformation pictures, and flyers/advertisements to promote sales horses and grow our social media presence. This role requires expertise in shooting and editing media, while managing content across Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and our website. The ideal candidate has a strong background in photography and videography, is familiar with social media trends, and can work independently to deliver engaging content. This is an exciting opportunity for a media professional with a passion for storytelling and the equine industry. This is a long term role.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Flexibility and patience is a top quality you will need to possess, sometimes getting the best footage…requires waiting 30 minutes + on the horse or handler/rider – must be able to stop and edit and work, while waiting to shoot pictures/videos
- Must be able to follow our shared google Calendar and stay on schedule and on time
- Excellent attitude with a kind and willing demeanor. You must have strong positive energy that elevates the filming experience to help produce engaging and happy content – and ultimately a fun, pleasant, sustainable working environment.
- Willing to learn and adapt your skills to Buster Horses style.
- Mid level – highly experienced in videography and editing. (Must be able to follow the horse in the center of the frame, keep your camera level with a level feature, own and operate a quality camera and lens, edit videos with engaging and exciting footage in the first 30-60 seconds.)
- Proficiency in photo and video editing software
- Strong understanding of social media marketing and content trends.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, keep records of where you are at on the projects timeline, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with specifically equine photography/videography
- Must be comfortable traveling within the metroplex for filming
- Work with a variety of staff and interns at Buster Horses as a team, to make the horses look their best
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently film and edit professional marketing videos for sale horses, and to do so in a similar style to our current and past sale videos.
- Capture high-quality photos to enhance promotional efforts.
- Be able to set up and correctly shoot high quality confirmation photos for a variety of breeds
- Create and manage Facebook ads for increased visibility and engagement.
- Upload and organize content on our website and across multiple social media platforms, tik tok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Travel as needed to local towns, events, and horse shows to film sale horses.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, engaging media content.
- Follow and maintain Buster Horses visual style and tone
- Maintain a flexible media schedule, adjusting to filming needs, around weather, sales appointments, horse readiness, and rider’s availability around sales appointments.
- Work independently while collaborating with the team to plan, execute, and publish content efficiently

- We are a team oriented operation and flexibility is valued and appreciated, if you’re willing and able to assist with any of the following when needed, it will be considered a strong plus during our hiring process:
- Basic horse chores (feeding, watering, turn out, stall cleaning)
- Personal assistant tasks (errands, light household help, cooking, organizing)
- Childcare when necessary
- Horse Transportation
- Office skills (running excel, making documents, organizing and sending out bills)
