We’re Hiring: Head Wrangler & Equine Operations Manager

3 Spear Ranch | Dubois, Wyoming

3 Spear Ranch is seeking an exceptional horseman to oversee our equine operations and lead our wrangler team.

We are looking for someone whose horsemanship is rooted in a lifetime of working with horses. Someone who understands herd dynamics, takes pride in thoughtful animal husbandry, recognizes the smallest changes in a horse’s well-being, and possesses the practical knowledge to keep a herd healthy, sound and capable.

This is not simply a trail-riding position.

Our Head Wrangler will be responsible for the stewardship of our 30-40 horses, overseeing training and conditioning, herd health, feeding, farrier and veterinary care, tack and saddle fit, and the daily management of our riding program.

The position also involves supervising 1–3 wranglers, leading guest rides and outfitting experiences, maintaining fences, barns and ranch infrastructure, and assisting with other ranch operations.

We are seeking a capable outdoorsman with excellent judgment, strong leadership skills, genuine hospitality, and the confidence to handle both horses and unexpected situations in remote mountain country.

This is a year-round position offering housing, a ranch vehicle, paid vacation and a competitive compensation package based on experience.
