Job Description:
Managing and overseeing all aspects of our equine operations. Your responsibilities will encompass the care, training, and development of horses and general maintenance of the Family Ranch in Alpine, WY.
Key Responsibilities:
Equine Care and Welfare:
- Supervise the daily care and welfare of horses, including feeding, grooming, medical care, and overall well-being.
- Implement and oversee equine health programs, including vaccinations and veterinary care.
- Ensure clean and safe living conditions for horses, including stall maintenance and pasture management.
Training and Development:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive horse training program that encompasses round pen work, arena training, and trail riding activities.
- Monitor and assess the progress and performance of horses, identifying areas for improvement and refinement.
Facility Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of equine facilities, including barns, pastures, and arenas.
- Manage equipment and resources necessary for equine operations, ensuring proper functionality.
- Collaborate with Property owners and ensure a safe and clean environment for horses.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in equine management, training, and care.
- Strong knowledge of equine health, behavior, and training techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and management capabilities.
- A commitment to the well-being and welfare of horses.
- Equine-related certifications or qualifications are a plus.
