Hidden Valley, privately owned 60-acre Horse Ranch, located in the Santa Monica Mountains, is seeking a dependable ranch hand who is passionate about the care, health, and development of horses and who is interested in living onsite.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Feeding
- Grooming
- Health Monitoring
- Training
- Care and exercise of horses.
- Arena Maintenance
- Veterinary Assistance
- Fencing Maintenance
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of barns, stables, and surrounding grounds.
- Trail Riding
Requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of caring for equines.
- Knowledge of safe work practices around horses and other livestock.
- Knowledge of basic equine first aid.
- Experience in monitoring animal appearance/behavior and communicating any
- necessary information to superiors.
- Ability to load and drive a Trailer
- Self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Strong commitment to teamwork
- Ability to adhere to the organization’s policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Flexibility in work schedule.
- Physical fitness and endurance for long days outdoors.
- Fluent English is mandatory / Spanish speaking is a +
- Ability to work legally in the United States.
