About the Role
CLM Land Company LLC is looking for a dependable, experienced Equipment Operator / Ranch Manager to maintain and improve a private ranch property.
This is a hands-on, independent role for someone who takes pride in their work, is highly self-motivated, and has strong experience operating heavy equipment. Much of the work is performed alone, so reliability and sound judgment are critical.
Candidates must be able to pass drug screening, reference and motor vehicle check and must have a valid driver’s license.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain and improve ranch roads and drainage
- Help maintain equipment
- Maintain fire lanes and perform fire prevention work
- Clear underbrush under oak trees and manage canopy height
- Remove dead trees and control cedar growth
- Operate skid steer and assist with heavy equipment work
- Help oversee additional ranch labor when needed
- Keep shop, tools, and equipment clean and organized
- Prepare property and cabins for occasional owner visits
- Ensure ranch vehicles and equipment are ready for use
Equipment You’ll Use
- Skid steer (required experience)
- Preferred experience or opportunity to train on:
- Dozer
- Excavator
- Scraper
- Roller
- Water truck
- Dump truck
- Backhoe
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment experience
- Strong skid steer experience (required)
- Basic ranch or land management experience
- Comfortable working independently (often alone)
- Experience with chainsaws and land clearing preferred
- Must live within 40 minutes of the ranch
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Background check
Compensation & Benefits
