KIANA CREEK RANCH, Sedalia, Colorado, An Equal Opportunity Employer

Estate & Grounds Labor Foreman

ABOUT US

Kiana Creek Ranch is a premier 1,400-acre working ranch and private estate located in Sedalia, Colorado. Home to high-quality British White Grass Finished Beef and top-tier equestrian operations, we pride ourselves on excellence in every aspect of our property. We are currently seeking a dedicated and meticulous Estate & Grounds Labor Foreman to help us maintain our property to the standard of a world-class estate.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Estate & Grounds Labor Foreman will be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for the pristine upkeep of every inch of the ranch and estate. This is a broad, hands-on role encompassing the full spectrum of grounds care — from landscaping and tree maintenance to fencing, gates, garden management, roads, and facility cleanliness. You will work alongside and manage a small crew (2–3 members), ensuring that every area of the property is maintained to the uncompromising standard of a world-class estate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grounds Leadership: Direct and work alongside a small labor crew to plan and execute daily, weekly, and seasonal grounds tasks across all areas of the 1,400-acre estate.
  • Landscape & Tree Maintenance: Oversee mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation management, weed control, and general tree and shrub care across the estate.
  • Gates: Ensure all gates across the property are fully functional, well-maintained, and repaired promptly as needed.
  • Fencing: Maintain and repair all fencing across the property, including agricultural fencing, high fence, garden perimeter fencing, house fencing, and deer fence.
  • Vegetable Garden: Assist in the preparation, planting, and ongoing upkeep of the ranch’s large vegetable garden, including soil care, irrigation, weeding, fertilizing, and seasonal crop management.
  • Compost Management: Manage and maintain the ranch’s composting operations, ensuring proper technique, rotation, and utilization across garden and grounds areas.
  • Driveways & Roads: Monitor and maintain all driveways and interior ranch roads, addressing drainage, grading, surface condition, and general upkeep on an ongoing basis.
  • Barn, Shop & Building Interiors: Keep the interiors of barns, shops, and other ranch buildings clean, organized, and maintained to the high standards expected across the entire estate.
  • Quality Control: Act as the final set of eyes on all projects across the property. Ensure all work meets strict, world-class aesthetic and functional standards.
  • Project Management: Keep tasks on schedule, monitor crew performance, and ensure safe working practices at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in high-end landscaping, estate management, or ranch maintenance (foreman or crew lead experience highly preferred).
  • An exceptional eye for detail and a personal standard of excellence.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a small crew effectively.
  • Reliable, self-directed, and capable of seeing a project through from start to complete finish.
  • Familiarity with landscaping equipment, irrigation systems, and basic ranch machinery.
  • Must have reliable transportation (Please note: On-site housing is not provided).

COMPENSATION

  • $55,000 – $80,000 per year

Compensation is commensurate with experience, leadership capabilities, and specific landscaping/estate expertise.

Medical benefits included.
