APEX Cattle
Seeking an experienced cattlemen in all aspects of the cow calf industry. Herd Health, Calving, and Operating Equipment are prerequisites to this position. We run a 300 cow operation located in south central Nebraska, about 25 miles from Grand Island, NE (city of 50,000 that has abundance of shopping, restaurants, entertainment, repair shops and churches available).

Position requires serious attention to health, experience in calving both cows and first calf heifers, record keeping and working with others as needed. Cattle care, equipment operation and maintenance are paramount. We have Caterpillar Payloader, John Deere Tractors, Baler, Self Propelled Swather, and Drill, Vermeer Bale Processor and Shuler Vertical Mix Feed Wagon as primary equipment plus Dodge Trucks and Elite Stock Trailers. Heated, well equipped shop and calving barns.
Majority of feed is raised. Irrigated corn is custom planted and harvested as silage or grain, all of which is fed to our cattle.
Recently remodeled 4-bedroom air conditioned home with two bathrooms and very nice modern kitchen with all near new appliances (Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Stove, and Microwave). Kitchen/Dining/Entry area has wood floor and balance of house has carpet, excluding the bathrooms. House located at ranch headquarters.
Salary plus housing, utilities, beef, Internet and Dish Network provided. Bonuses structured within.
