Searching for an individual or live-in couple with ranch/farm experience to help maintain a 50-acre private not-for-profit farm that is home to 2 horses, 12 cows, 8 pigs, 10 chickens and 6 dogs in Punta Gorda, Florida. Private living accommodations for up to two adults will be provided as part of the compensation package.
The barn and covered riding arena are almost complete and will be finished in a few weeks (see attached images). Horse boarding may be negotiated as part of compensation.
The individual or couple that will join our team must love animals and have general knowledge of all functions pertaining to small ranch/farm work, including but not limited to livestock care, groundskeeping, fencing, tractor & equipment operation & maintenance, handyman & basic carpentry skills.
The individual or at least one member of the couple MUST have substantial experience caring for horses.
We will happily pay a competitive salary to the right individual or couple commensurate with experience.
