This job is best suited for a naturally ORGANIZED and RELIABLE individual who is a SELF STARTER who can also work in a TEAM environment. Includes grooming, turnouts, first aid, making feed and supps, wrapping, videoing, placing grooming supply orders.
This can be a FAST PACE JOB AT TIMES.
Requires WALKING to and from turnouts often, which are about 400 feet from the barn.
Must be savvy with iPhones, TEXT and RECORDS KEEPING through an APP. We can teach the details.
Must have EXPERIENCE around horses including youngsters and well behaved stallions. We can teach details of our tack, etc.
Ideally 5 days a week, needs to include Sunday, 8 hour days (6am-2pm, or 7-3 or 8-4). $22-$30/hour based on experience.
We have a newly remodeled APARTMENT on site available for $800/month. (1bd/ba with full kitchen and bath tub, etc. All utilities included.) Living on site is not required however.
Some travel is an option, but not a requirement.
Occasional Riding opportunity available for an experienced candidate, however there are no trainer open positions here.
Property is 30 minutes from the beach, 45 mins from San Diego airport.
Possible opportunity for a management position at our neighboring horse retirement facility for a proven, committed individual. Larger house for family offered in that case.
